Udupi : In the last Lok Sabha election Shobha Karandleje won with more than 3,50,000 votes lead against nearest rival Congress candidates. This time the lead against the congress will be increased in Udupi-Chickmagaluru Lok Sabha constituency that the BJP candidate Kota Srinivas will win without any doubt, said Mattar Rathnakar Hegde, former Karavali Urban Development chief and former district BJP chief.

Addressing a press meet held at BJP Election Office near BJP district office here on Friday, Mattar Rathnakar Hegde said that the BJP candidate Kota Shrinivas Poojary gained with his massive experience as a minister, MLC with long years, opposition leader of the council etc. In addition to that Kota Srinivas Poojary has done impressive developmental works during his political career starting with panchayat member. In this election, due to support from the JDS party the winning target will be increased especially in Chickmagaluru legislative areas. We are confident that this time our most impressive candidate Kota Srinivas Poojary will win in the Lok Sabha election, said Mattar Rathnakar Hegde.

He said that not only in Udupi district, Kota Srinivas Poojary has established Narayana Guru residential hostels all over the state. The government grant was given to temples and daivastans and other religious organizations during his tenure as Mozarai Minister. Not only that, as a minister for Fisheries, he helped the fishermen in larger ways like Rs. 180 crore grant to fishermen in the state. In 2021 when he was a minister for SC & ST empowerment, Kota gave massive support in different ways for the SC and backward communities in the state. He worked hard when he was in the power as well as off the power for the backward communities.

Kota has ordered free Anna Dashova during the Covid time for the poor. He gave order to establishment of Karnataka Bhavan in Tirupathi temple devotees. Kota Srinivas Poojary was responsible to distribute free two wheelers schemes for unemployed both men and women youths. He undertook foundation stone for Hejmadi Port at the cost of Rs. 180 crores when he was a minister for Fisheries.

In order to develop the much popular Prime Minister’s scheme for the youth “Agnipath” programme conducted in Uttarkannada, Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts and training has given to more than 100 youths to join the national military, Mattar Rathnakar said.

In order to increase self confidence amongst the inmates of the women hostels, Kota Srinivas Poojary established Obouva Karate training schools. Not only that, Kota Srinivas Poojary was responsible for holding programmes of Holapu sports every year for local people’s representatives and Urban elected representatives.

Mattar Rathnakar Hegde said that the world leader Narendra Modi has overall changed the developmental works in 10 years in the country in just 10 years which Congress never did in 70 years. So, it is necessary to make prime minister once again for the massive development of the country. By voting for a BJP candidate there would need to strengthen the hands of the prime minister Narendra Modi who has never seen any corruption or bad administration of the country.
