Udupi : The state government’s guarantee schemes will surely work over Lok Sabha election in the state and hence Congress will won more than 20 Lok Sabha seats in this election. Moreover, the Udupi Chick-magaluru Lok Sabha Constituency Congress candidate K Jayaprakash Hegde will win with more lead against his rival candidate, said KPCC spokesperson and former MLC Ivan D’Souza.

Addressing a press meet held at Congress Bhavan, Nairkere, near here on Wednesday, Ivan D’Souza said that the former MP Shoba Karandlaje not done any work for Udupi-chickmagaluru constituency in her 10 years as member of parliament and even not brought any projects in the constituency. Not only that she was not active in her constituency and she didn’t meet the people of the constituency when they needed. Hence, in her party workers Shobha Go Back campaign held in her constituency of Udupi-Chickmagaluru Lok Sabha.

The congress candidate K. Jayaprakash Hegde when he was as a minister, short term MP had done lot of works for the people. He has been his own personality and popularity. The Congress government’s guarantee schemes and pro-people issues will encourage winning the election this time. The congress government has been succeeded to fulfill the manifesto with five guarantees, he said.

Ivan D’Souza criticized the Modi government’s false promises at the center. Prime Minister Narendra Modi have done nothing for the poor, but done for the corporate of his friends. The state government succeeded to fulfill the demands of the people in the state, likewise, if Congress comes to power, all guarantees of Congress at the center will fulfill its manifesto of Lok Sabha election, he said.
