Udupi : St Sebastian Tenkabettu ward of Milagres Cathedral celebrated annual ward fest on Sunday, April 21st, 2024. The thanksgiving mass held at Milagres Cathedral for St Sebastian, patron saint of the ward which concelebrated by Rev Fr. Ronson D’Souza, parishioner priest, Holy Cross, Katapady, Very Rev Fr. Valerian Mendonca, Rector and Rev Fr. Lawrence Fernandes parishioner priest.
In his homily, Fr. Ronson D’Souza underlined about the God our Shepherd as per the day’s liturgy. He graced the Tenkabettu ward faithful for their celebration of ward feast. Large number of faithful participated in offerings during the mass.
The evening programme for the celebration of ward annual feast held at Jyostna Home for the Aged, Tenkabettu from 7pm. The evening programme began with prayer song by two kids. Ward Gurkar Stephen D’Almeida welcomed the gathering. The newly established statue of St Sebastian was blessed during the occasion by Fr. Valerian Mendonca.
Wilma D’Souza placed the annual report of the ward. Various games for children, youths and elders were conducted by the anchor of the occasion Preema Lewis. Various entertainment programmes include dances, singing and other held during the occasion.
Sr. Prashanthi of Rose Convent and Melwyn Sequiera, Vice president of parish pastoral council were speaking during the occasion. Sr. Ann of Rose Convent and Gurkar of Syrian Church, Brahmavara were present on the dais.
In his presidential remarks, Fr Valerian Mendonca appreciated the ward people for their talents and unity of the ward and he graced the prayers on the meal.
Rita D’Lima proposed vote of thanks while Preema Lewis, Co-ordinator of parish pastoral commissions was compared the programmes. The fellowship meal was arranged to all the ward people and the participants.
