Udupi Diocese Bishop offered first mass at Milagres Cathedral

Print Kallianpur : After the erection of the Udupi Diocese and taking charge of first Bishop of Udupi Diocese, V. Rev Dr. Gerald Isaac Lobo offered first mass at Milagres Cathedral on sunday, 21st October at 8am mass. Along with the Bishop as main celebrant of the mass Rector of the Cathedral V. Rev Fr. Stany B. Lobo, Rev Fr. Prakash D’Souza Asst. Vicar, Rev Fr. Ivan Rodrigues PU Principal, Rev Fr. Canute Barboza Asst Vicar , Rev Fr. Arun Mendonca Chaplain of Ozanum, and Pilar Fathers were present.
During the homily by the Bishop said that Mother Mary is Queen of Faith. If there is no faith there is no breath. Mother Mother’s life was filled with complete faith of God. This is we are going to celebrate "Year of Faith" is given by God and we should celebrate and understand. Bishop has been the fan of Mother Mary.
Bishop Gerald Isaac Lobo planned to visit all the faithful families of Milagres Cathedral. The responsibilities of the Milagres Cathedral increased. Cathdedral should be role model to other parishes of the diocese.
After the mass there was felicitation ceremony was held. Parish Pastoral Parished acting President Leslie Lewis placed "Letter of Honour" and handed over to Bishop in favour of Parish. V. Rev. Fr. Stany B. Lobo Rector and James D’Souza Secretary of PPP were present during the felicitation to Bishop Gerald Isaac Lobo. Philomena D’Souza Gurkar of Milagres C Ward presented the beautiful statue of Our Lady of Milagres to Bishop in favour of the parishioners. Meanwhile Superior of the Rose Convent presented a momento to the Bishop.
Large number of faithfull parishioners were garlanded and greeted the Bishop including heads of various institutions and heads of various associations of the church. Eugene Rebello compered the felicitation ceremony with was a grand success.

| These guys are doing a wonderful job, they need to tune a bit with their reports, grammatical and spelling mistakes in their report and other than this they are fine, they have proved this during the formation of Udupi Diocese.
