Global Kemmannu Flowers Celebrate Grand Non-Resident Parishioners’ Day

Kemmannu Dec 30 2012:Global Kemmannu flowers hosted the much awaited, first ever mega-event by Non –Resident Kemmanities at St Theresa’s church, Kemmannu on the 29 th December Saturday.  The thanks giving mass started at 4.00 pm by main celebrants Rev Fr. Stany lobo Rector of  Udupi Diocese and Vicar Var of Kallainpur  vardo with Rev Fr  Anil D’silva and Rev Fr. Wilson Andrade .This was followed by inauguration and   blessing of the newly renovated Holy cross and newly built Dining Hall. Mr. Walter saldanha sponsored and inaugurated the renovated holy cross and inauguration of the new Dinning Hall was done by cutting the Ribbon by Mr & Mrs Leo Crasta and family. Thereafter, refreshment was served to all present prior to the begining of the Entertainment Extravaganza at 6 pm.

Kemmannu flowers members welcomed the audience of around 800 with a Welcome Song – Santhos Pavthav. Mr Prajwal Dsa was the MC for the Entire Event. Kemmannu Flowers President Mr.Sydney D’Souza welcomed the Honoured guests and all attendees. Flower Felicitation to all the Honoured Chief Guests Mr. Frank Fernandes, Mosaco Shipping, Dubai , Mr. B. M. Zaffar, Thonse Health Centre, Hoode/Thonse, Mr. Sathish Venkataraman-Chilly Willy Trading Dubai, Mr. Walter Nandalike-Editor-in-chief Daijiworld Media, Mr. Oswald Crasto - Sahara Oilfield suppliers and trading Qatar, Mr. Kenneth Saldanha & fly Dubai ,Parish priest Rev  Fr. J.B.D’souza and resident priest and Chairman of Platinum Jubilee committee Rev Fr. Stany Lobo Rector of Udupi Diocese and Vicar Var of  Kallianpur .

The event was inaugurated by lighting of lamp by the Guests. The Chief Guest Mr.Frank Fernandes addressed the crowd by recalling his childhood memories at St.Philomena School and Kemmannu Church. He also gave a message to the crowd that all of us should work together irrespective of caste or Relegion to live in peace and harmony. Mr.Walter Nandalike , requested all gathered to remember and pray for the  soul of  the victim of Gang rape occurred at New Delhi recently and also stated that Government must bring Stringent law to prevent the reoccurrence of such incident in the future. Rev.Fr Stany Lobo also addressed the crowd with his inspiring words. Global Kemmannu Flowers greeted all the Sponsors and Well wishers by offering Flowers.


Platinum Jubilee committee felicitated the Engineer and Contractor of Dining Hall.The committee also thanked  Global kemmannu Flowers and  Main coordinator and Editor Mr Geroge Alex Lewis with Flowers. The Global Kemmannu Flowers handed over Cheque of Rs.2 lakhs to Rev.Fr Anil D’silva as a contribution to the Platinum Jubilee Committee towards their Project.

The live Non-Stop 3 hour variety entertainment  performed by the Non Resident Parishioners of Kemmannu which included  Fashion Show, Dance performances by Kids and Adults, Spot prizes, Live Band and Music, Ever romantic Konkani/hindi Melody Songs and Funny Skits  to give good jaw exercises. Vote of Thanks was given away by Mr.Melwyn Fernandes. Live Tableau with moving Star  Choreographed by Stany D’Cunha (Bulla)  stunned the crowd. The entertainment extravaganza came to end at 9.30 pm with the arrival of  Santa Claus in a decorated Cart . A delicious Buffet Dinner with Sanna-Maas and rice with Sungta Kadi was served to all present. The entire event came to an end with lots of good Memories at 10.30pm.The event was live telecasted and viewed all over the world on the, website etc.
