Kemmannu Jan 16:Annual Parish Feast of Kemmannu Parish patron saint St.Theresa was celebrated on Wednesday, the 16thJanuary at Kemmannu church.On the feast day, Murdom of the feast Mr. & Mrs. Edwin Elias Saldanha and family were accorded a ceremonial welcome by the Parish Priest Fr. J.B. D’souza at the church at 10 am. ‘Manacho Vaati’, blessed candles were distributed to church Founders, Benefactors, Donors and to all parish families.

 The solemn Annual Feast Mass began at 10.30 am the main celebrant ‘Rakno’ Editor Fr. Francis Rodrigues led the high mass with Rev. Fr. Stany Lobo, Dean of Kallanpura Deanery, Fr John Baptist Sequeira Episcopal Vicar for Religious, Fr Valerian Mendonca Chancellor of the Diocese of Udupi and priests from Kallainpura Deaners as well as neighboring parishes and those priests hailing from Kemmannu and serving in other place of India were joining him at the altar.

Following the end of the mass, Rev Fr. J.B. D’souza thanked the all the priests who participated in the Eucharistic celebration. He conveyed the greetings of the feast to all parishioners and also thanked all those who had helped in celebrating the feast. People exchanged greetings and shared the love of the feast.

At the end of the mass, Mr. Kenneth Saldanha of Kambla Thotta was crowned as the Murdom (Pirgenth) of the next years feast. Mrs. Clotilda Saldanha, along with her Mother Mary D’Sa and Kenneth’s sister Mrs. Ivy Lobo were crowned by the Parish Priest Fr. J.B. D’souza.

 The three day programs arrangement were co-ordinated by parish priest Fr. J. B. D’Souza, Church VP Mr. Ronald Menezes and Secretary Mrs. Grace Machado along with parish council members, Gurkars, ICYM, YCS and other church associations
The devotees of St. Theresa were seen offering flowers and candles at the shrine of St. Theresa. A large number of people were seen visiting the various stalls and game stalls put up by the ICYM, YCS and the Altar Servers.
