INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION IN A ‘BIG’GER WAY (BIG  Freedom Utsav 2014- Freedom from Sorrow)

Mangalore, August 16, 2014: While India celebrated its 68th Independence day with great fervor and devotion, 92.7 Big FM and Young friends Group Kottara (Kottara Chowki,Mangaloe) celebrated in their own unique style and organized a day out with kids called “BIG  freedom Utsav 2014’’.

The event was inaugurated by ACP Udaya Nayak, cctress – model Sangeetha Bhat,  Dr. Kishor, Winner of ‘Voice of Bangalore season 5’ playback singer Nitin Acharya, Rang film Director Mr. Vismay Vinayak, Short Movie Director Mr.Rajesh Shetty , Nishith, Sandeep and Gururaj etc from Young friends Kottara President and Valedictory by – Ex Soldier Mr. Vidhan Parishath member Ganesh karnik and Tulu artist Dinesh Attavar.  A special dance performance was also given by Baby Prakruthi.

The event primarily emphasized on spreading happiness amongst HIV positive children and it also witnessed several concurring individuals who joined hands together with the organization to distribute sweets, books and clothes among kids. With the objective of doing something special and unique, the organization’s core intention was to spread a social message through this occasion.

Addressing to the gathering Acp Udaya Nayak said, ’’If everybody in the society start conducting such events, nobody will feel abandoned. This initiative nurtures the feeling of compassion and unity’’. He appreciated BIG fm and everyone for conducting these event

MLC Mr.Ganesh Karnik Said,’’ Though we are independent from British, we need to get Independent from crime, haterdness and poverty. Lets make a decision  of making India a developed country in coming years’’

The organization is happy by the positive response they got and intend to hold more community friendly events similar to this in the future. Executive producer cum Rj Varsha, Rj Roopesh, RJ Errol, Station Head Anirudh, Alston  from Big FM were present. Games ,cricket match conducted from Morning till eve. Event ended followed by Dinner.
