Print FOUR NOTED WOMEN PERSONALITIES WERE HONOURED ON “68TH INDEPENDENCE DAY” BY MUMBAI SUBURBAN DIST.
MLA & GARDIAN MINISTER MR. MOHAMMED ARIF NASEEM KHAN hoisted the tri-colour Flag and witnessed a grand parade marked by Mumbai Police on 68th Independence Day held at Office of the Collector, Mumbai Suburban Dist., Bandra (E), Mumbai.
Mr. Naseem Khan conferred the PUNYASLOK AHILYADEVI HOLKAR JILHA STALIYA PURASKAR upon four noted Women of Mumbai soon after the Flag Hoisting Ceremony.
Award for the year 2011-12 bestowed on : Shrimati Parvati Dargunde & Shrimati Madhuri Singh. and Award for the year 2012-13 bestowed on : Sr. Seema, Founder of Jagruti Kendra, a NGO of St. Jude’s Church, Jerimeri & Ms. Reena Patil of Powai.
Award consists of Rs.10001 cash, Memorandum, Shawl, Shrifal (Cocunut) and Certificate. Rs.10001 Award divided in two and two Women were honoured with a cash of Rs.5000/- each for their excellent social service in Women development for the academic years 1012 & 2013 respectively.
Mr. Naseem Khan praised and congratulated all the four women for fighting for the rights of women and also for justice and peace and strengthening them through their hard work.
These AWARDS were recommended by Mr. Gokul V. Deore, Dist. Officer, Women & Child Development, Mumbai Suburban.
