Kemmannu, September 19: Highly decomposed body of a youth was found floating 100 meters away from Kemmannu Bridge towards Nidambally road.Laborers working near the river noticed the body and informed the officials.

The body was suspected to be that of Baiji Zameer (28) of Hoode, who was missing for the last 4 days. He was working in a shop called Bombay Bazar near Karavali Junction Udupi. He was missing since Tuesday 16^th of this month and his father Mr. Ismail Saheb had filed a missing person’s complaint in the Malpe Police Station.

He has suspected to have committed suicide. The body was in a highly decomposed state. Local youth led by Panchayat Member Mr. Aurn Fernandes helped to fish out the body from the river.

Malpe Police are investigating the matter. The body has been taken to Government Hospital for post mortem.
