Udupi : Catholic Sabha Kallianpur Deanery celebrated Silver Jubilee and Manipal Konkani Health Card Decennial celebration held at Milagres Tri-centenary Hall, Kallianpur near here on Sunday, 28^th September, 2014. Catholic Sabha Central Committee of the Udupi Diocese Spiritual Director Rev Fr. Ferdinand Gonsalves inaugurated duel occasion by lighting the beautiful prepared lighting lamp.

Prior to the programs invocation prayer held and Hubert Lewis Catholic Sabha Kallianpur Deanery President welcomed the gatherings. Rev Fr. Ferdinand Gonsalves spoke his inaugural address. Prior to the distribution of the distribution of Manipal Health Card Veronica Cornelio Co – Ordinator of the Manipal Health Card briefed report and statistics about the Catholic Sabha organized manipal Konkani Health Card. She said that total of 12,263 families and around 40,976 persons of the diocese were benefited last year while this year 12,675 families will take benefit from Manipal Konkani Health card. Previous year about Rs. 2.13 crore was the amount spent on beneficiaries’ under Manipal Konkani Health Card.

During in the occasion Hubert Lewis President of Catholic Sabha Kallianpur Deanery presided. Shri. Vinay Kumar Sorake Minister of Urban Development and district in charge Minister, Very Rev Fr. Stany B. Lobo Spritual Director of Kallianpur Deanery, Rev Fr. Ferdinand Gonsalves, Dr. G. K. Prabhu Registrar, Manipal University, Sripathy Shet General Manger of Insurance Section of Manipal University, Kiran Elroy Crasto President of Catholic Sabha Central Committee of the Diocese, Mary D’Souza Secretary, Walter Cyril Pinto past President of Catholic Sabha Mangalore Pradesh Central Committee, Rosy Baretto Secretary Kallianpur deanery Catholic Sabha, Ida Gibba D’souza ZP member, Roshini Olivera Taluk Panchayat member, Felciana Lewis President of local unit, Diocese Deanery Presidents and others were present on the dais.

During in his address Vinay Kumar Sorake said that our undivided district proceeded towards vast development. In order to awareness on good health various schemes to be undertaken like providing health cards to the needy. Catholic community will have the traditional values of service by providing health measures.

During the occasion Kallianpur Deanery level past 25 years Presidents were honoured. Dr. G. K. Prabhu started and ended with his mother tongue language Konkani. He gave some of the instances the use of Manipal Health cards.
