Print Pernal: The annual feast of Fatima Church Pernal was held on Wednesday 19th Nov.
Udupi, Nov 19, 2014: The annual parish feast was celebrated with the usual grandeur. Priests from the Deanery, from the parish and outside were there in good number and the Church was full with parishioners and guests. The candles of honor were given by the Fr.Arthur Pereira from 10.00 a.m. The present parish priest welcomed Fr.J.B Moras and all the priests and introduced them to the congregation
The main celebrant was Rev. Fr. J. B. Moras of Belman. He preached a good homily relevant to our life following the example of Mary.
The singing was very good. The mass ended at 11.50 a.m. The youth, the parish Pastoral council and other associations of the parish worked well for the success of the Feast. The Sisters of the parish as usual arranged the altar and flowers very artistically, leading to devotion.
At the end of the mass the Parish Priest Fr.Arthur Pereira Give thanks to those people who were the Part and sole of celebration of the feast and he wished all the Parishnors and well-wishers a very Happy feast and called upon to continue the Keep the faith Strong
Earlier to the Feast Day Vespers Was celebrated The prayer service began at 7.00 p.m. sharp. Rev. Fr. Vincent Coelho, principal of Junior College of Pangla, was the main celebrant. The Varado priests and some other diocese priests were also present.There was some fireworks display after the benediction. The service ended before 8.10 p.m. and the parishioners spent some time talking and wishing each other near the stall area.
