BIG KANNADITI awards to BIG achievers by 92.7BIGFM on International Women’s day’

March 8th being celebrated as International Women’s Day, Mangalores No.1 FM Radio station 92.7BIGfm honored 7 notable achievers from Dakshina Kannada with ’BIG Kannaditi’ Awards.

The achievers were selected based on the detailed survey undertaken by team BIG fm.

Achievers:

Mrs. C.S Radhika, an ambulance driver and the owner from Kulai, who struggled after her husband’s death, to fullfill his dream of having an own ambulance. She worked hard and now owns ten ambulances.
Mrs. Rathi Shetty, a nurse and the social worker from Karkala. She dedicated her life to serve he society. She is a recipient of Florence Nightingale Award from the President Hn. Pranab Mukharji.

Mrs. Sarojini Shetty- Mangalore, a senior actress, was selected for her contribution in Tulu drama and movies.

Mrs. Bhuvaneshwari Hegde., a standup comedian from Kadri, is receiving the award for her contribution in Kannada comedy industry.

Mrs. Shruthi Hegde from Kumtaru, Kasargod has been nominated award as she being an Endosulfan victim has secured first rank in PUC and currently she is pursuing her Medical education. Her dream is to serve for Endosulfan victims.

Mrs. Ajjamma from Udupi is nominated for her selfless service for the society as a hotel owner.

P.S.I Bharathi from Ullala police station is awarded for her strong service against crime and maintaining peace in society.

Mangalore South Constituency M.L.A Mr. J.R.Lobo conveyed the initiative of BIG fm to the Chief Minister of Karnataka and issued Appreciation Letters on behalf of Karnataka Govt.

Speaking on this occasion Mr. Lobo said "I congratulate the women achievers and I assure my support and the support from the Govt for any noble cause initiated by 92.7BIGFM"

Kannada cine actress Manasa Joshi was also present and honored the achievers.

A special programmes on the achievers was aired throughout the week in BIG Coffee by Rj Roopesh from 8am to 12.

Rj Errol, Rj Rakshita, Rj Roopesh , executive producer Shilpa Shetty, Station Head Anirudh and others were present on this occasion.
