INDIAN CULTURAL SOCIETY Presented- Mohit Chauhan Live in Concert:

Pioneer & Producer of several hit shows, Indian Cultural Society presented a fabulous entertainment programme “The RockStar” on 20th Feb 2015 featuring high rank playback singer MOHIT CHAUHAN. A charismatic & great performer, Mohit Chauhan rocked the show with his humanity, humor & great talent along with upcoming beautiful playback singer Amika Shail. Rock stars kept the audience glued to their seats for the better part of two hours, churning out hit songs one after another and regaling the crowd with anecdotes and by getting them involved on stage. The Rockstar is the title given to Mohit in honor of his award winning songs from movie The Rockstar. He sang many songs on demand of the audience including “Sadda Haq”. Jam packed auditorium witnessed the highly electrifying show & cheered the quality entertainment.

The event was officially inaugurated by H.E. Sunil Jain Ambassador of India to Kuwait who released the souvenir along with the sponsors, senior citizen Mr. D. V. Malhotra (Chairman Al Zahem & Malhotra Co.) & Kuldeep Singh Lamba (Chairman Al Mailem Group). H. E. & diplomats have always appreciated the concept & efforts of ICS team.

In another, First in Kuwait, Hero of the Evening, Mr. Mohit entry was on a Royal Enfield motor bike, through the delirious audience. The theme of the event was “Save the girl child”, which was presented by Dreamers. Extraordinary and sensational performance by dancers of The Dancing Divas & Shristi Dance Academy kept the audience mesmerized. They danced energetically to the tunes of Aasami Bihu, Sanso Ki Maala mein, Hum India Waale, Don & Manwa Laage.

The main show kicked off with Duet performance by baby Saanjh Malhotra & Anurag with power packed fusion. Live concert started with upcoming singer Safa Khan who set of the evening with her soulful song & dance with Dreamers “Kamli Kamli Mere Yaar Di– Dhoom 3”. She also showcased her talent by singing a duet with Mohit Chauhan (Tujhe Bhula Diya).

Another prominent highlight of the event was acrobatic dance performance by famed acrobats Diwakar Nayal, Sonia Mathur & Ankita Maity. They enacted three different dances including a unique tri-acro dance style, to audience who were dumb-struck and had their eyes peeled open to cheer these performances.

A group of committed individuals, the ICS has always worked hard to provide the expatriate community from the subcontinent with clean, whole quality entertainment for the entire family. Rock Star Mohit has won the heart of every one by his high voltage performance & involvement with audience. He appreciates ICS efforts & well organized event.

The eminent guests who graced the evening were Ajay Goel (COO- City Centre), Ravi Kohli ( MD- Taal & Daawat), Kamal Al Din (GM- KCH), Sharif M. Rangrez (MD- Eternity Tourism), Ajaz Ahmed (MD- Sahara Ac Co), Vijay D Kapoor (MD- Faisal Al Hulaifi group), Qayed Johar ( GM – Al Zahem & Malhotra),  Jagdeep Sahni (MD – OBTC), Venktesh D. (VP- KAPICO) , Kiran Kumar (CM-Fly Dubai), Amit Malhotra & Minhaj Shikari-( MD-M3 co.), Lali Singh (Director Green Spring Projects) Mohammed Samad (MM-Country Club), Sunoj N (Chief Editor – IIK). They had spoken about Indo Kuwait friendship, cultural exchange, and contribution of India to the world, also appreciated ICS efforts to promote art and culture in Kuwait. Country Club has given lifelong membership to Mohit Chauhan,
The show was anchored by the President of Indian Cultural Society himself Ashfaque A. Khan, a man of multifarious talent, whose zeal & commitment to build bridges & promote Indian culture has always driven him to achieve higher goals.
 
ICS has honored with memento to Tanusmita Das (Choreographer- Dreamers), Jyoti Patel (Director - The Dancing Divas), Tanima Das (Head - Shristi Dance Academy) & guest artists. It was well organized celebration in decent manner.

The guests were presented with mementos & gift hampers by Sahara AC & Yusuf Murad Behbahani. Refreshment & complementary items were distributed by Al Yasra Food & Al Zahem & Malhotra. The ICS president expressed his gratitude to all executives of ICS, volunteers, event supporters, Techno staff, Media  Press wings including Mr. Disney (Catering- Bombay Chowpaty), best sound & lights Mr. Wiz Arora & Rocky Arora ( CAMCO Group), Subin Philip (Digital & Video), Mr. Shahzad Ahmed & Vinod Lewis (still photography).

Finally the show ended with the rocking medley. The hard work of the ICS team & ability to deliver quality entertainment on time has indeed become a model for live programmes in Kuwait. Event manager Shugufta Khan, Hospitality executives Priya Anand & S Anwar Raja were seen on their feet standing throughout the show to ensure the comfort of audience and dignitaries. The entire ICS team led by General Secretary Arun Arvindakshan, Creative Head Preeti Malhotra, Treasurer Hussain bin Mohammed, female wing executives Diva Krishna, Nirmal Sawhney & Kanchan Banwari, Choreography & Performers care taker Tanushmita Das & Umm e Hani, Treasurer IT support Haroon Akbar & Prosonjit Chakroborty, Stars management EK Anand, Tasneem Jafar & Harpreet Mahotra. Auditorium management control by Joint Secretary Awais Khan,  S.Mirza & Abazar Badshah, Hospitality executives S. K. Banwari, Yusuf Iqbal, Rajesh Shawhaney,  Transport in charge Shamim Ahmed, Mustafa Sahara & Aurangzeb Khan, Security control Albert Mathias & commandoes of GSGC coordinated well together to ensure that this show a huge success.
