Kallianpur : The Feast of Nativity of Blessed Virgin Mary celebrated at Milagres Cathedral with great devotion and joy. At 8.30 am near main gate of the church all devotees gathered and Monthi Fest celebration started. Paddy corns were blessed by vicar of the church Very Rev Fr. Stany B. Lobo along with Rev Fr. Rollwin Aranha, Asst. Parish Priest, Rev Fr. Denis Lobo and Rev Fr. Nelson Furtado and Rev Fr. Henry Masrachenas Chaplain of Ozanum.

After the blessing of paddy corns the high mass which was concelebrated by the main celebrant Rev Fr.Denis Lobo Superior and Vocation Director of Pilar Fathers, Kallianpur, along with Very Rev Fr. Stany. B. Lobo, Rev Fr. Rolwin Aranha, Rev Fr. Henry Mascarenhas, and Rev Fr. Nelson Furtado.

During the homily address by Fr Denis Lobo pointed out that Virgin Mary listened to the good news from the God almighty and she followed God throughout her life with obedience. He pointed out the theme of the day that we need to bring to changes of the life styles if we want to protect our planet.

After the mass Vicar of the church during announcement conveyed Monthi Fest message to parishioners as well as all well wishers. Meanwhile on the occasion of Platinum Jubilee of the Cathedral, portrait banner of some of the projects was released during the occasion.  Scholarships and Prathibha Puraskar which organized by Catholic Sabha were distributed to meritious topper’s in 2015 final examination which sponsored by late Lazarus D’Souza & family of Kote Road of Milagres . Ward. The firgent and sponsor of the feast late Lazarus D’Souza & family was honoured. 

After the celebration of the mass there was get together of families of D’Souza family along with members of parish parished and other guests.
