Doha Qatar, Sep 12: Norbert Pereira’s sixth music CD titled ‘Moga Utar’ was  released Roy Castelino, president of Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy during the Mangalore Cricket Club Monthi fest on Friday September 11 at the Al Jazeera Academyin doha Qatar.

Fr Anand Castelino, OFM, the spiritual director of Qatar, Fr . Anil D’costa guest priest with Norbert Pereira and Nancy Pereira ,MCC president Norbert Corda vice-president Prakash Noronha and MCC advisory council member and MCC’s pillar of strength Gerald D’Mello were present during the occasion.

Norbert Pereira, known popularly as Nobby by Konkani music lovers has created a niche for himself in Konkani music world through his unique, innovative and creative compositions. Despite being away from Mangalore for long, has remained in the hearts of Konkani buffs through his melodious and memorable compositions. Norbert is well known for popular numbers such a ‘Dees Ami Axelo’, ‘Rita Mojha Moga’, ‘Bara saron tera’, ‘Xetkar’, ‘Prathver Kallok Mandtana’, ‘Mira’,‘Maria’, ‘Paavs’, ‘Kazar’ ’Do Re Me Fa’ has again hit the news headlines the release of ‘Moga Utar’.

‘Moga Utar’ is a perfect blend of creative and innovative music with rich lyrics. The album comprises of 11 melodious numbers and each of the songs has Norbert’s trademark touch of innovation, creativity and experiment. Again Norbert has blended melodious ballads, slow rock with his favourite pop and jazz numbers. There’s a neat and equal blend of baila, folk and tradition.
Rony D’Cunha, Prajoth D’Sa, Ivy D’Souza, Robin Sequeira, Carol Sequeira, Nancy Pereira and Norbert Pereira have sung in the album. Music has been provided by Roshan D’Souza Angelore and mixed by Joel Pereira.
