Mumbai, 13th Sep 2015 : "KONKAN TARAM - JERIMERI" the Konkani Association of St. Jude Church  Mumbai, Celebrated 25th ANNUAL MONTI FEST ( Nativity Feast of our BVM Mary on Sunday the 13th September 2015 at 7.00a.m., combined with Eucharistic Celebration and also Cultural evening and Novem Jevann (Dinner) at 7.00p.m.

"KONKAN TARAM - JERIMERI" was formed for Social, Cultural and Liturgical activities in the year 1991 under the leadership of Fr. Paul Rego, strongly supported by Norbert Sequeira, John Mascarenhas and Wilson Pinto with the Celebration of Monti Fest, in traditional way.
Little Children and teen agers showered flowers to Mother Mary with traditional beautiful hymns ... ‘Sokkod Sangatha Melliam and Moriek Hogollsiam’. New Corns (Novem) were blessed and Solemn High Mass was Celebrated by  Fr. Lancy Pinto ( Director of KT ) Enthusiastic parishioners participated in large number with their children.  John Mascarenhas, Shaun Harris and Choir Group presented a melodious singing and music.  Konkan Taram team distributed Snacks, sweets, sugarcane and note books to children and parishioners.  Flora D’Souza arranged felicitation for Fr. Lancy, Fr. Gabriel,  Br. Kanika Dass, Sr. Dominica and others.  The sponsors Like Jovila D’Souza, Noel Veigas and several well wishers and donors were thanked by John Mascarenhas who also presented gifts of appreciation with flower bouquets to Juliana Mascarenhas who made highest collection of funds and also to Flora D’Souza and Monica Rodrigues for second and third highest in collection. Nevertheless special mention was made for a well wisher who sponsored New Choir Uniform.

John Veigas felicitated & honoured with a Gift Voucher and Certificate of Appreciation tp SSC toppers like Rachael Fernandes, Hansie Cordhero, Celine Nadar, Anjali Chettiar, Pricilla Chettiar, Alton Pereira, Elizabeth  Vakipillai, Priyatarshini Nadar & Steffi Chettiar  who scored more than 70% marks.

Since the Association completed 24 years and stepping to 25th Year ( Silver Jubilee), the Chief Guest Fr. Nelson Saldanha ( Parish Priesh – Pant Nagar ) and Fr. Lancy Pinto alongwith Committee Members like Walter D’Souza, Melony Cordeiro, Flora D’Souza, John Mascarenhas, Leo D’Souza, Jacintha D’Souza & John Veigas inaugurated the “ BEGINNING OF JUBILEE YEAR” of KONKAN TARAM by lighting of inaugural lamp.  Welcome dance performed by little children, proceeded by Welcome Song by Choir Team.  Thereafter vereity entertainment like Dances, actions songs, Jokes & Skits were presented by KT members, their children and parishioners in Konkani. The Cultural programme was arranged by Flora D’Souza, John Mascarenhas, Leo Fernandes, Walter D’Souza and Team. The Entire programme was compered by Joyd Rodrigues and Lavina D’Souza.  Programme ended with Laudate followed by Dinner ( Novem Jevann).
