Print Udupi : The memorable event in the recent times of Mt Rosary providing lots of information on a successful marriage. Mount Rosary Parish community Santhekatte, Kallianpur celebrated their Marriage Enrichment day on Sunday, 11th October, 2015.
A day long programme organised by Mount Rosary parish family cell commission. Rev.
Fr Philip Neri Aranha parish priest, Fr Chetan Lobo Editor of “Uzwaad” bimonthly and a guests priest offered Holy Eucharist Mass.
Fr Chetan on his homily explained the spiritual values of marriage.
There after married couple’s joined a procession from the church followed by holy Mass towards Millennium hall.
Prof Alban Rodriguez was resource person and Leslie Aroza for the Udupi Diocese appointed family commission addressed the gatherings with speech that explained the family values. Eldest couples Shri Maxim Furtado and Victoria furtado from Holy family ward of Mount Rosary Parish were honoured for their inspiring married life for 50 plus years.
Many family issues that dragged the families towards destruction were pointed out and solutions were advised by Leslie Aroza. The issues such as children’s addiction to smoking alcohol drugs and internet social networking Facebook, WhatsApp and many other means of porn led them to suffer with mental problems. Love in family is the foundation of a safe life for all members of society.
The person who organised the successful event were Shri Ligory Dsouza President for the family cell of parish. Mrs Pratibha Dsouza Principal of Danvatari Nursing College and the members of family commission.
Anitha Quadrose extended the vote of thanks. A beautiful welcome dance by Mount Rosary English school children performed.Merwyn Saldanha compered the programme.
Clarens D’souza and his wife Pramila were congratulated on their 18th wedding anniversary today.A sumptuous buffet lunch served for all.
