Print Udupi : Tonse Valaya Brahmana Samithi has celebrated its annual Dharmika program on 06-12-2015 by conducting ‘Ganahoma” & “Rangapooja” at Sri Ganapathi mutt, Padukudru, Kemmannu.
On behalf of the samithi, the sponsors of the day Mrs.Malathi & Col.Ramachandra Rao couple performed the pooja formalities. More than 125 devotees attended the ceremony. All the committee members were successful in conducting the annual Dharmika program in a pure devotional way.
After the pooja there was a small program of felicitation & handing over of Gonidhi. To begin with Miss. Meghana Rao ,Gopalpura sung a devotional song. Brahmashri Kenja Sridhara Tanthry, member of Dharmika parishat , Govt of Karnataka & Sri.Manjunath Upadhya, President Udupi taluk Brahmana Mahasabha were the chief guests. Sri. Vasudeva Adoor, President of Tonse valaya Brahmana Samithi presided over the function. Office bearers of the Taluk Brahmana Sabha & members of other valaya samithies also attended.
Tonse valaya Brahmana Samithi has collected nearly Rs.64,000/- from its members towards donation to Gonidhi. Samithi has handed over the invoice of cattle food worth Rs.64,000/- to Mr .Raghuram Achar representative of Pejavar Mutt. Cattle food has been dispatched directly to the Neelavar Goshala by Tonse valaya Brahmana Samithi.
On the occasion of Dharmika program priest of Sri Ganapathi mutt, Padukudru -Vedamurthy Nempu Sridhar Mutt who has completed 50 years in his Vedic profession was felicitated. Senior members of Tonse valaya Brahmana Samithi Paticipated in the felicitation program. Mr.Madhava Rao P read out the “Sanmana pathra”.
Honorary president Sri B.Ramananda Rao welcomed the devotees. Sri.Ramesh Adiga Principal of PU College Udupi was the master of ceremony. Sri Hariprasad Rao Secretery gave vote of thanks.
