Udupi : St. Sebastian ward of Thonse, Milagres Cathedral, Kallianpur near here celebrated annual ward feast on Sunday, 7^th February, 2016. The thanksgiving mass for the patron of the ward, St. Sebastian held at 8 am by the chief celebrant Rev Fr. Aloysius Lewis local priest of Thonse, presently serving for Varanasi Diocese, Rev Fr. Denis Lobo Rector of Pilar Fathers and Rev Fr. Wilfred Lewis also local priest.

In his homily Fr. Aloysius Lewis pointed out some of the great people follow Jesus in the world which shows the love of God through Jesus. Our God, Jesus is the mercy of God and compassion who loves us now and then.

During in his weekly announcements, Very Rev. Fr. Stany B. Lobo conveyed his best greetings to Thonse ward devotees.

The get together of ward was held at Smt. Dorathy Crasto’s house near Nedambally. Very Rev Fr. Stany Lobo, Rev Fr. Rolwin Aranha Asst. Parish Priest, Rev Fr. Aloysius Lewis, Rev Fr. Denis Lobo and Deacon Denis Miranda , Rose Convent and Maria Kripa of Ozanum sisters, Jyothi Lewis Gurkarn of the ward, Marina Lewis and Judy D’Souza ward representatives were present on the dais.

After the prayer song, Jyothi Lewis welcomed the gatherings. Marina Lewis placed the long report of the ward. Fr. Stany and Fr. Aloysius gave their address to the gatherings and appreciated the attitudes and unity of the ward through various services to the church and the ward people in general.

Various games were conducted during the occasion. Housie game also conducted. Prizes were distributed to all the winners of the games conducted. Songs and comics were also held during the occasion.

Judy D’Souza proposed vote of thanks. Dinner was served to all the participants. The Thonse ward fest usually held every year on Sunday of before Ash Wednesday since several years. This ward also called London ward earlier years as per Romio Lewis former Administrator of Milagres Church, Kallianpur. One of the largest ward of Milagres now become getting shorter due to some of the families migrated to city limits areas like Santhekatte, Manipal and so on.
