Stree Sangatan of Mount Rosary Celebrates Women’s Day.

Kallianpur, Santhekatte, March, 2016: Stree Sangatan members of Mount Rosary Church Kallianpur celebrated women’s day on Sunday 13th March 2016. The thanksgiving mass was offered at 8 a.m by Fr Mahesh alongwith Br Stuart Fernandes. The liturgy was conducted beautifully by the members.

There was a get together after the mass at 9.30 am at the Mini Hall. The programme began with a prayer led by the Mrs Meena Pinto . Fr Philip Neri Aranha, Parish Priest, Fr Mahesh, Br Stuart were the chief guests. Mrs Judith Mendonca, Tallur,   was the resource person. Sr.  Arathi of A.C Convent, Sr Veera of Goretti Convent, Mrs Jyothi Lewis, the President of the Stree Sanghatan, were on the dais. The President  Mrs Jyothi Lewis welcomed the gathering. Mrs Cynthia D’Silva read the annual report of the year 2015-16. Mrs Laveena Menezes, Treasurer presented the annual Income and Expenditure report  of the whole year. Fr Philip Neri appreciated the women’s involvement in the church activities and responsibilities taken in the Parish. The  resource person in her message highlighted about maintaining our culture & traditions and to continue the same with our children, Also reminded Bishop’s circular about dress code to be maintained in the church and public places as our body is precious and we should keep it safe from the onlookers  . Mr Joseph Rebello,  invited the gathering to witness the programme on the Rain water harvesting on 5th April 2016 at 9.30 a.m. at the Milenium Hall Sr Veera, Sr Arathi and Mrs Judith Mendonca distributed the Prizes to the winners of the Games conducted on 7th March 2016.  The celebration ended with the Stree Sangatan Anthem.

Mrs Rosy Quadras compeered the programme. Mrs Hilda Cornelio proposed the Vote of Thanks.
