Udupi : The Patrons Day celebrated at St. Joseph’s Higher Primary School, Kallianpur near here on Saturday, 19^th March, 2016.

The celebrations with thanksgiving mass for St. Joseph at Milagres Cathedral, Kallianpur which concelebrated with Very Rev Fr. Stany B. Lobo Correspondent of Milagres Educational Institutions and deacon Denis Miranda. During in his homily Deacon pointed out the character and life of St. Joseph. He said God chose Joseph to be the earthly father of Jesus, the man entrusted to raise the son of God. Joseph was also a carpenter, or skilled craftsman. He obeyed God in the face of severe humiliation. He did the right thing before God in the right manner. Joseph was a man of strong conviction who lived out as beliefs in his actions. He was described in the Bible as righteous man. Joseph is a wonderful biblical example of integrity and godly character.

The mass was celebrated in Kannada which was attended by all students including parents of students and well wishers and donours of the school. The liturgy of the mass was held without any caste or religion.  Late Eliza D’Souza’s children are main sponsors of the celebrations.

There was get together of students and PTA members held at Milagres Tri-centenary Hall after the mass. Very Rev Fr. Stany B. Lobo was spoke during the occasion and conveyed his wishes of the feast of patron of St. Joseph Higher Primary School. Sr. Susheela Monteiro Head Mistress of the school  and all the faculty of the school were present during the occasion. The meritorious students in Catechism and moral education were felicitated during the occasion.  

St Joseph’s Higher Primary School at Kallianpur has one of the oldest schools since century which has been one of the top Kannanda medium schools in Kallianpur area. The school has attracts large number of students due to value based education and having every infrastructure for the students with best teaching staff since several years.

Herald D’Silva Senior teacher of the school welcomed the gatherings, proposed vote of thanks and compered the programme during get together of the occasion.
