"EK ASLYAR EK NA" KONKANI MOVIE GRAND TICKET LAUNCH HELD IN DUBAI

Dubai, May 8, 2016: "Ek Aslyar Ek Na" the big budget Konkani Movie Produced by Ferns Movies International, Frank Fernandes launched their ticket release function in Banquet Hall, Zamorrodah Building, Karama, Dubai on 7th of May, 2016 in a grand function.

The programme started at 8.30 pm with evergreen MC Uttam Menezes opened up the programme with prayer in Konkani and requested the Community to lend supporting hand to the new Konkani movie and to see that the Community people come in large numbers in making the movie hit.  Later Shodhan welcomed the audience and briefed about the movie.

Uttam then invited Joseph Mathias, James Mendonca, Ullas Kadri, Frank Fernandes, Pradeep Barboza, Shodhan Prasad & Ranjith Bajpe on to the dais and welcomed them with roses.  Traditional auspicious lamp was lit by the guests on the dais to inaugurate the event.  Soon the trailer of the movie was shown on the projector screen and the audience applauded loudly seeing the first ever high budged Konkani movie that too coming after a very long period.

Writer Director Pradeep Barboza briefed on the Movie project came to light and how he got good support from the Producer Frank Fernandes who gave him a free hand in spite of the Producers another Tulu Movie ’Jai Tulu Nadu’ was in progress.  Later he briefly introduced the Cast and Crew of ’Ek Aslyar Ek Na’ specially those who are Dubai based and present during the occasion.  They were Joseph Mathias who acted as a Priest, Alphonse D’Souza, main villain and who is the ardent supporter of Pradeep in the post production, Lavina Fernandes, Deepak Paladka the main comedian supporting hero who is also the Marketing head of the movie overseas, Claude D’lima, Godwin Castelino who is also supporting logistically in Dubai, Prathap Menezes (brother of main heroin) & the Producer himself, Frank Fernandes who acted as a Police Officer in his own film ’Ek Aslyar Ek Na’.  Pradeep Barboza who has written the script, screenplay, direction has also acted as the main hero in this movie which is his brain child.  He also shared some lighter moments during the shooting.  Pradeep thanked Shodhan Prasad & Ranjith Bajpe of Sandhya Creations for their continued support in the pre-release of the movie in overseas.

Producer Frank Fernandes later spoke nicely in four languages covering those moments of his earlier films he had produced in the banner of Ferns Movies International wherein he had given breaks to many new comers in the industry including his son who acted as a main hero in one of his Kannada Movie.  He had made movie in Konkani, Kannada and Tulu earlier which was made in good intervals.  He also shared the news that those movies has given him lot of bitter experiences in this industry but still continues to produce just for his love towards the mother tongue and to support the new budding artistes of his community.  While requesting whole hearted support from the Community Members he also revealed that this movie will be releasing throughout Gulf including Kuwait which is scheduled for 27th May.  He also said that all possibilities are worked upon to release the movie in Canada, Australia, U.K. and other parts of the world.

Later Joseph Mathias, a singer by himself and supporter of art in this part of the world spoke briefly and said that the Community Members should unite together to support these kind of activities in Konkani.  This will strengthen the Community as well as the artistes who need to be supported at all times.  James Mendonca also spoke and requested all Community Members to come forward and support ’Ek Aslyar Ek Na’ as the movie is made to cater the Konkani Community and we need to promote the culture of the community through such medias.

The much awaited ticket launching cession started immediately with a blast of background music and party hoppers cracking and thunderous applaud from the audience as all the guests on the stage unveiled the tickets and released them for the Dubai show which is scheduled for 20th May, 2016 at Galleria Nova Theatre Shindaga Dubai with 4 shows viz., 10 am, 1 PM, 3.45 pm & 5.30 pm.  Soon Joseph Mathias & James Mendonca bought the first tickets of the Premier show to start with and immediately followed by the audience who grabbed the tickets booking their convenient show timning.  A good response from the audience as almost one show tickets were sold out during the event itself. 

The ticket launch cocktail party continued with singing, dancing, and some lighter moments shared with photo session and good sumptuous buffet dinner.
