Udupi : Thonse Zone of Brahmana Committee, Kemmannu organized 19^th annual celebrations, Pratibha Puraskar and Guruvandana programmes held on Sunday,11^th September at Viprashri Kalabhavana at Kodavoor near here.

The programme began with invocation prayer by Smt. Padmini l. Rao with the direction of Smt. Suadamini S. Rao.

On the dais chief guest present were Udupi Taluk Brahman Mahasabha President Sri Manjunath Upadyaya, Organizing Secretary Sri Chaithanya M. G., Special professor and retired professor from Mulki and resource person Dr. K. Jagadish Rao, honoured guests Udupi Taluk Panchayat President Smt Nalini Pradeep Rao, Zonal Hon President Sri. B. Ramanand Rao, President Sri Vasudev Adooru, secretary Sri Hariprasad Rao and Women’s representative Smt Vasanthi Rao B.

Hon. President B. Ramanand Rao was welcomed the gatherings. Dr. Jagadish Rao the resource person introduced by M. Ajith Kumar and Nalini Rao was introduced by Smt Anuradha Raghavendra Bhat.

During the occasion one minute silence observed for the deceased soul with condolences. Secretary hariprasad Rao placed the annual report. Treasurer placed the annual accounts statement for the year 2015/16 and passed over during the occasion.

The resource person Dr. Jagadish Rao honoured the retired and on service teachers with rose. Meanwhile students topers’ of the examination on 2015/16 were honoured.

The student of Bantakal Sri Madhwa Vadiraja Engineering College Sri Raj Bhat of Tenkanidiyoor was felicitated in favor of Thonse Zone during the occasion. Sri Ranjan Kalkura and Dr. B. Devdas Bhat through the Thonse Zone honoured with Rs. 5000 cash in person to Sri Raj Bhat. Another meritorious student of Alvas Engineering College of Mudabidri Ku. Rashmi Rao in favor of Thonse Brahmin Committee donated Rs. Rs. 10,000/- along with Rs. 1,001 cash from Badamata Sri Manjunath Balal of M/s A. R. Ramanand Ballal Memorial Trust.

Dpuring the occasion the office bearers for the year 2016/17 were declared and get passed. During in his address Dr. Jagadish Rao spoke on the importance of Brahmins and meaning to the community.

Udupi Taluk Panchayat President Nalini Pradeep Rao and on the occasion of golden jubilee celebrations of Kalkura Refrigeration Director Sri Gopalkrishna Kalkura couple was felicitated during the occasion.

After the chief guests address and presidential address Sri Ramesh Adiga proposed vote of thanks. Fellowship meal was arranged after the programme.
