Udupi : State level Hand Ball Tournament will be held at Purnaprajna PU College Grounds, Udupi on 2^nd and 3^rd December, 2016 for Pre University students which will be organized by Udupi district Pre University Education Department and Purnaprajna PU College, Udupi.

Speaking with media persons at Udupi, Pradeep Kumar Organizing President of tournament and Treasurer of Purnaprajna PU College Administration, said that the tournament in day and night will be held for men and women. All districts of Karnataka State 31 teams of men and women teams will be participate in the tournament which 960 competitors along with 120 teachers will participate in the tournament. Almost every preparation arranged for the tournament in vast play ground.

State level Hand Ball Tournament will be inaugurated on Friday, 2^nd December, 2016 by Hon. President of Udupi Admar Mutt Purnaprajna Education Trust, Sri Sri Vishwapriyatheertha Swamiji at 8.30 am. College Administration Treasurer Advocate Pradeep Kumar will preside the inaugural programme. The chief guests V. Sunil Kumar MLA of Karkala, Capt. Ganesh Karnik MLC, Dinakar Babu President of Udupi Zilla Panchayat, Shobha Karandlje MP of Udupi Chickmaglur constituency, Meenakshi Madhav Bannanje President of Udupi CMC, Gurme Suresh Shetty Entrepreneur and social activist, Hariyappa Kotiyan of Male Karthik Group of Concerns Administrative Director and Dr. Kishore Kumar Mangaluru University Sports Division Director will be present.

The valedictory function will be held on Saturday, 3^rd December at 4.45 pm which Admutt Mutt Sri Sri Vishwapriyatheertha Swamiji will distribute the prizes for the winners. Pramod Madhwaraj Minister of Sports, Fisheries and Youth Empowerment will preside. B. S. Yudiyarappa MP of Shivmoga, Oscar Fernandes MP (Rajya Sabha), Vinay Kumar Sorake MLA Kaup, Haladi Srinivas Shetty Kundapura MLA Kundapura, Gopal Poojary MLA Byndoor, Divakar Shetty of Education Department, Sadu Salian Entrepreneur, Yashpal Suvarna, Kishore D. Suvarna Malpe will be the guests of honour.
