Udupi : Congress party leaders staged protest on account of “Aakrosh Diwas” in front of Clock Tower, near to Service Bus stand against the implementation of demonetization of 500 and 1000 notes currency by the central government.

Addressing the gathering, Nagesh Udyavara said that BJP under the leadership of Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of the country brings rules day by day. Narendra Modi like Mohd. Tuglaq need publicity by brings rules day by day. People believed and voted Modi in the sense that he will bring black money from abroad. He failed to fulfill his promise to bring back money from abroad. But it was not happened. Therefore, he diverted the minds of the people and took decision to demonetize the high denomination currency without any knowledge of economy and disaster of the poor people. Several death were occurred by his decision of demonetization. People have stand in long queues for their own money to withdraw or exchange. The friends of BJP have crores of currencies already exchanged. It is general public who are in queues and sacrificed their life due to demonetization.

In his address, Kishen Hegde Kolkebail said that BJP under the leadership of Narendra Modi removed the rights of the people. The situation of the poor people especially who depend cooperatives societies going worse day by day. The begging like situation for the poor people happened due to demonetization that poor people deposited their money into the societies who are not able to withdraw their money. BJP canvassing on Hindutva and other mode, but not who laid on streets for the withdrawal of their hard earned money. After the announcement of the demonetization, within twenty four hours fake notes came out for circulation. How it could be possible? It was due to the failure in government financial policy. Several crores of Rupees invested just prior to demonetization by the BJP top friends and politicians. Several crores of Rupees were spent for the wedding of BJP leader’s families. He said that allow the common poor people to live.

Jyothi Hebbar Women Congress leader said that we are not against of demonetization but we are against the way it has been implemented. The government not the Reserve Bank not taken adequate measures before implementing it.

Slogans were raised by the protestors against the BJP led Union government and against the Narendra Modi. They comparing Modi to Hitler and Mohd. Tuglaq former rulers.
