Girl from Santhekatte protests in front of missing boyfriend’s house

A girl has staged protest in front of the house of her boyfriend, who has reportedly deceived her and has been absconding, here at Mudubettu village near Kota.

She has been staging protest before Sachin’s house demanding justice. The love between the duo bloomed some three years ago without the knowledge of their parents. They were said to be deeply in love and often, the differences between them would be solved by deep understanding. The couple reportedly had sexual intercourse at a lodge in Manipal on August 4. Following which, Sachin started behaving weird and avoiding Shabari. 

Reluctant

He was not prepared to commit himself for the relationship. Shabari, hurt by this, approached Udupi women’s police station in November demanding justice, following which the couple’s parents were called by the police and an inquiry was held. During inquiry, the police had suggested register marriage for both in the presence of the parents. However, the issue had not been sorted out even after the intervention of the police. 

Parents worried

On the other hand, Sachin’s parents who were unaware about the relationship of their son with Shabari have been worried over the sudden developments. They told the reporters that despite convincing Shabari to hold talks in the presence of the couple’s parents, she held Sachin’s parents responsible for his disappearance. 

Shabari also lodged a complaint at Kota police station, following which Sachin has reportedly gone missing. The police have taken the oral submissions from the parents of Sachin. Meanwhile, Shabari has been demanding Rs 60,000 to ‘go away from Sachin’s life,’ it is said. The parents said due to their financial problems, they are not able to offer the money demanded by Shabari.

In the midst of all these developments, one of Sachin’s friends, who came to his house, took away Rs 15,000 twice assuring the parents to settle the issue amicably, it is said.
