I appreciate your feedback and humbly accept your suggestion. I happened to pass by the place when this incident was happening and this is something that unfolded right in front of my eyes. Being a student of Journalism and mass communication, and a reporter for |Kemmannu.com i consider it to be my responsibility to highlight and show what is wrong, I believe that is why i am a part of the team.

In the past 3 years of my proffessional education i have been taught to do the right, no matter what the situation is. And i also have learned what needs and what need not be put up in the media.

If kemmannu.com was looking at increasing hits, we would have a more sensationalised and crispy story updated as per what i saw.

Whenever there is a problem between communities, the Malpe Police call a peace meeting involving the leaders of each communities. This is the best way to isolate youths, many of them troublesome to any communities.Let peace prevail, As Sahiu, Hoode noticed it a instigation from a handful drunkards who think they are ’Smart’. Feel sorry for the leaders who support them.

In some of the middle east countries, people can’t even hang their under garments or cloths on their house balcony even for drying. Doing so will attract a fine. It is in India people hang thousands of banners everyday so why this dispute??. Bar attack once happened in Mangalore and now coming to our District??

But the question is why this handful of Rowdy elements get the support of so called aspiring leaders. The Aspiring leaders should have a vision of far off things like communal Harmony, which is very important than this trivial issue of a calf being tied near a Muslims house. The question is "Are Non-Hindus be allowed to rear up cows and calf". Organizations, who promote these ideas of "No minority should touch a cow" should be condemned.

Problems like this will lead to further conflicts. The leaders of this area must stop all miscreants and those specially trouble makers and these people must be inside the bar(not the wine bar) for few months without any cast or creed. There are many incidents of violence everywhere all the time, even thought police take actions with arrests, the leaders are ready to bail them out. This should be stopped.

This is not hindu muslim conflict as heading says, its a work of three drunken miscrents. The bar should not be allowed to open till midnight. There is still peace between two communities in hoode and bengre eventhough hundreds of outsiders try to create tension. Thanks to people of thonse community leaders for thier timely intervantion by guiding youth of thier communities hence by failing what outsiders trying to do here and hope this time too all thonsites teach lessons to this outsiders. we should all unite here today and shall not allow to repeatsuch incidents in future were outsiders try to play with our peacefull atmosphere.

Is it not shameful that too after suceesfully concluding "sarva dharma sammelana", together, we have a incidence like this? It shows we yet to work collectively and having seperate muslim organisation, hindu organisation and christian organisation. But we yet to function a common Kemman Organisation. Who are these Bajrang people? They are one among us, that too from one of the above organisation. Why can not our leaders and social workers take initiative bringing togethar along with all the members of these three organisation, identify the these dividing factors,single them out and bring them into the mainstream collective development of this place. As all of us know, that we have a young Panchayat President, why he can not take some initiative streamlining with these so called "NRE (Not required elements)" and make them understand that every Hindu,Muslim or Chritian is a Kemmanite.
Also, it is not advisable to publish such photographs and indicate the involment of one particular community. This create more confusion among the residents of a particular region.
Lets all decide collectively to work for the betterment of Keman.

When ever I visit Hude I am afraid of group of people always on street staring at women? Mr Jayakara suvarna is right if the people are educated like they do in Kerala our people will allow women to go to any beach or cover themself so no one can pay attention. It is also better put a hoarding of notice to warn the women "USE WARM CLOTHS AND SWIM to solve the problem!!

Create a problem and become a leader, that is the mantra of present day politics. Hasanbba was beaten up black and blue by a unemployed, who is a prominent leader now. When you have such examples, youths are tempted to go for such unwanted ways.As for Jeevan’s comments, Having a check post or police station is a big burden on the exchequer which could be avoided by educating the misguided youth of any community by their elders.

There should be a police station in Hude to patrol this area. We see every now and then there are tensions here the local leaders should understand this now and stress the govt to establish one post and have few cops on duty. so there will be peace and tourists will have no fear of goons

It is not just one pachayat’s duty to develop this costal belt from Katke till bengre, it should be an collective efforts from tourism departments, all local panchayat’s, local MLA’s, MP’s, and the community leaders. Different activities can be developed in different places, for. eg. Hoode/Bengre for surfing, river islets for back water tourism, some spot for guest houses and so on... can we hope this to happen in the near future??

Kemmannu and its surroundings are beautiful beaches and rivers palm acres, river Islets estuaries here are feast for the eye and are attractions of tourists. why Padu thonse panchayat must develop this land and bring Kemmannu into the map of tourism. The Moral police will suffer with their own strategy because in this free world no one can restrict the public using the beach.

why there are tensions often in Hoode/Bengre? Is it the reason of law and order??. Every politician here pampers the people for vote bank. The beautiful beach here is abandoned by tourists for the very reason. There is impormation saying recently there are beatings on Manipal students who visit this beach, moral policing on this beach is evident that here Goonda Giri exists? and no Law prevails.....
