Career guidence seminar by Divo magazine held at Alangar Moodbidri

Jan. 22: Divo Konkani weekly conducted a full day career guidance seminar for youth at Alangar parish hall on 22nd of January. The theme of the seminar was "Leaders in the making and Reaching to the Top". It began at 9.30 am and ended at 4.30 pm.

Mr. Albert W.D Souza, MR. V.P.Lobo, Dr. Gerald Pinto, Mr H. R. Alva and Rev.Dr.Ronald Cutinha were the main resource persons. Mr. Lawrence Coelho the edtor of Divo weekly explained the need of the seminar in his introductory speech. Mrs. Susanna Coelho, Mr.John Mendonca and Mr. Cypry Sampige were also present actively ,they too being the members of the Divo editorial team.

Sri. K.Abhayachandra Jain,the local MLA inaugurated the seminar. V. Rev. Fr Austin Peter Peres, Parish Priest of Moodbidri Town Church, Mr Jerald Lobo,(vice president of the parish), Mr. Mark Rodrigues the secretary, Mr. P.K.Tmomas,the Muncipal councillar and the Parish priest Rev. Fr Basil Vas along with Fr Edwin and Fr Vernon Vaz were also actively involved.

Mr.Eric Lobo the president of ICYM Alangar compered the programme.Icym members helped the hall arrangements whereas the  Parish council members prepared food for the participants.

The seminar was attended by over 350 catholic students who had come with great interest from different parts of Mangalore Diocese.

Divo konkani weekly provided this seminar free of cost including the breakfast,lunch and evening tea. The Parish Priest Rev. Fr Basil Vas thanked the organisers,the Divo team the resource persons and all the paricipants
