Local fisherman observed this and immideately entered the rough sea with ropes for their rescue. They could save Marcin Dlubis, but by the time they reached near Miloez he had already drowned.

“The tides were very high and rough and we warned the boys it was not safe” said Dinekar who was present there “ students visit here quite often, since its more calm than Malpe” he added.

“I was around, and immideately rushed to the spot. We grabbed whatever ropes we had and rushed in the water” said Ravi, who rescued the one foreigner. He was accompanied by Ramesh and Purandar and the trio managed to save one foreigner.

Government wants to make entire costal belt tourist destination.... height of nonsense... let them 1st provide basic needs like life guards, cleanliness, warning signs etc.

Malpe beach one of the best beaches on the Karnataka coast line. It is very famous and attracts many people thus has become tourist destination. I wonder why there are no flags of warning raised on neither a single life guard post for watching installed, Flags posted on the beach and flying from lifeguard towers represent ocean hazards and surf conditions. Some countries have The National Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI) tasked with saving lives at sea.
