Chinmaya Arts Mumbai inaugurated

Mumbai, Sep 2012: A newly formed organisation for Arts, (Tula-Kannada Drama, Yakshagana, Dance, etc.) inaugurated in Mumbai in the name of “Chinmaya Arts Mumbai” on 1st September, 2012 at Karnataka Sangha’s Vishweshwaraya Hall, Matunga, Mumbai.

Dr. Bharatkumar Polipu, General Secretary of Karnataka Sangha who presided over the function, inaugurated this organisaiton followed by  lightning the lamp along with  other dignitaries on the dais Karanukar Shetty Pavoor, Prakash G. Bhat, Vijay Shetty, Katapady Surendra Rai, Chandrahasa Shetty, Shringeri, Prabhakar Hegde, Adv. Prakash L .Shetty, Nityananda Shetty, Shivaprasad Shetty, Tonse Vijay Kumar Shetty, Satinja Janardhan Bhat, Ramesh Guruswamy, Purnarao Pejawara, Shechin Shetti Kaup, Bharat Shetty Katapady, Prasad V. Acharya, Dinesh Rai Kumble, Nilesh Shetty and others. Addressing the function Dr. Bharatkumar Polipu said “In our life with the influence of Arts we can divert our lifestyle on right path.  With the Arts one can acquire the culture. The name Chinmaya itself is the sign of expansion. Let this organisation widen the arts and save our culture in this city.” 

President of  Chinmaya Arts Mumbai Karunakar Shetty explained the aims and objects of this organisation. He said we have established this organisation not to have any competition with others but just to keep our coastal Arts and  Culture alive in this metro. Yakshagana Bhagawat Kuriya Ganapaty Shastry, Manjunath Shettigar, Youth Yakshagana Artist Govinda Saphaliga and Stage Artist Neha Sarapady were felicitated in this occasion. Dayasagar Chowta compared the programme. Sachin Shetty offered vote of thanks.
