Mangalore Feb 14:New experiments in the field of music are always welcome since it makes music more acceptable to the people, said Dr. Vasanthkumar Perla, Head of Programme, AIR, MANGALORE.  He was speaking after inaugurating Mangalore Akashvani’s   invited audience programme titled “Nada Vaibhava” at Town Hall, Mangalore.  He says, adding that fusion of varied form without distorting the fundamentals will only enhance the stature of  any classical art form. 

 
 G. Ramesh Chandran, Dy. Director (Eng) presided over the function.   He said in his presidencial speech ‘it takes a lot of tapas (penance) to become a good musician or an instrumentalist’. All India Radio, Mangalore has a long history in the broadcasting annuals of winning award, producing novel programmes, acting as forum for voice of people.  On 8th February 2013,  Friday AIR, Mangalore organised invited audience programme – saxophone concert by Kalaimamani Padmashree Dr. Kadri Gopalnath.  He performed  his concert  not only in  India  and other Countries like French, Barlin, London, Paris, Maxico, USA  etc.,  He won the heart of many people who are interested in music.  Their ears were greeted with melodious tunes wafting out of Saxophone.
 Accompaniments are violin by A Kanyakumari from Chennai, Mridangam by B. Harikumar from Tiruchy, Tabla by Rajendra Nakod from Dharwad and  Morching by B. Rajshekhar from Bangalore.
