Udupi/Malpe, June 11, 2013: The main road connecting Bengre and Malpe has become completely deteriorated near Thottam. Thousands of daily commuters and fisheries vehicles move through this road and the general public is in a question mark to know  why the concerned department hasn’t taken any action to repair the said road. Passengers travelling with their two wheelers are the worst effected as the road has developed large ponds and crossing these ponds is really an nightmare.

The part of same road from Kadike to Thottam church was repaired long before the assembly election which happened recently and work was stopped after the inauguration of the new road, and the public were at the opinion  that the work was stopped  due to the electoral code of conduct which was in force at that time. But now the elections are over, celebrations are over, Newly elected MLA’s are already felicitated all over and still the concerned departments nor the responsible political parties from the district nor the local MLA’s from the district  has shown any interest  to take up the matter to restart the stopped work.

We bring you the latest pictures where you can see the big red ponds developed due to the heavy rain and causing hardships to the general public. As per the information which is making rounds , the  required amount has already been sectioned to complete the  stopped work but the concerned department has not taken up the work and has been requested here by to respond to the public demand to repair this road to the earliest.

There is no fish in the sea and no value for agriculture produce eg Coconut in 80s was sold for 3 rupee a pc today sold at 4 rs there isn’t any appreciation for the coconut farmer is become destitute there are farmers who commit suicide in thousands every year, but a single fisherman never hanged himself of poverty because they enjoy better services with subsidies on kerosine, sugar, rise and everything poor farmer cannot even climb his own coconut tree so all the nuts fell washed away in flood farmer is our Anna data

Mr Sadanada you are absolutely right the speeding fish transport trucks spray stinking water on people pedestrians two wheeler riders, school children in Udupi district. There is a ban in Kerala and Goa there on small fish nets drag nets in sea and fish transporting trucks dripping water on road. People and government in Karnataka bans bikinis on beach but do everything onshore and off shore?........ consequently when everything is under curtain and restricted politicians go for pleasure to Goa Mumbai and Kerala and there comes the tapes and scandals. Politicians of our state wake up now and make free society.

This road belongs to State fisheries dept as the coastal roads are benefiting the fish industry. Logic is there are few fishes left in the Sea,and the industry is in dire situation of losses due to tiny mesh nets (mosquito nets)scooping the juvenile fish and the eggs too. The question is road? the fish laden trucks always spill red oily stinking water on road causing accidents resulting in injuries and loss of life of many two wheeler riders. There should be a ban on spillage of rotten water by these truckers.........

Good work Ajith, excellent highlight to wake up the lazy authorities, who should have completed this work before the start of monsoon season, still during the monsoon, this is the status of our interior roads in India.
