Maharastra State Minority commission’s special meeting for Christian Community

Mumbai, June.15 : As per Union Government & State Government’s implementation of facility/ project for minority, Maharashtra State Minority Commission organised symposium on Problems of Christian Community people at Sahyadri Guest House in Mumbai.
  
There was a special meeting called for the Christians by the Chairman of the Minorities Commission, Shri Munaf Hakim to discuss the "Issues of the Christian Community". The meeting was held on Saturday,  June 15  between 3.00 p.m and 6.00 p.m at Sahyadri Guest House, Malabar Hill.
 
Under the dynamic leadership of the Chairman, this was the first time a special meeting has been called for the Christians to discuss about  the various concerns it faces. The Chief Guest for the event is : Bishop Agnelo Gracias, Auxiliary Bishop of Bombay.
 
Among the others were Mrs Thanksy Thekkekara, IAS, Addl. Chief Secretary, Minorities Development Dept, Maharashtra,  Fr. Frazer Mascarenhas, Principal, St. Xavier’s College, Dr. Augustine F. Pinto, former Sheriff of Mumbai, Fr. George Athaide, Secretary of the Archdiocesan Board of Education,  and several other Activists members were preset during the programme.
