4th Anniversary Celebrations of Bobbarya Temple of Padukudru, Kemmannu.

Padukudru/Kemmannu, Feb 22, 2014: The historic Bobbarya temple of Padukudru, kemmannu celebrated its 4th anniversary on the 19th February, 2014 at the temple premises. Vedhamurthy Sridhar Bhat presided the religious rituals which took place in the morning in the presence of Sri. P. Shyamrao couples and the devotees. Chappara Mahurtha was held in the afternoon at 12 and then the Nemostava started from 6 in the evening till next day morning 5AM. Large number of locals and devotees were present throughout the celebration. All the religious function including the Nemostava was held under the leadership of its Temple President Sri Madhav Rao, honorary president Sri Gururaj Rao, Vice presidents Prakash Kundar, Guruva Suwarna, Krishnappa Poojary, treasurer Ganesh Udupa and secretary Mohan Suvarna.

This Bobbarya temple was build in the private land of Late Venkatakrishnayya and later they have given it to the temple care taking committee. In 2010 the committee has taken up renovation work. Present MLA Sri Pramoad Madwaraj kick started the renovation work in a simple function held on the 4th November, 2010.

A sum of Rs. 450000 was collected from the donors for the renovation and the work got completed in Feb 2011. Two days of grand reopening celebrations of the temple was held on the 17th and 18th February 2011 . With the help of Late Dr. V. S. Acharya and then MLA Raghupathi Bhat the Temple was able to get a grant of Rs.250000/= from the government of Karnataka.
